Effective 16 July 2026.
This policy explains how Pixelite SL ("we", "us"), of La Llobatera B 1-2, Coll d'Ordino, Ordino AD300, Andorra, handles personal data in connection with Markdownly, this website, and purchases. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
Markdownly renders your documents locally on your Mac. Your files never leave your device. The app performs no analytics, no telemetry, and no phone-home, and there is no account. Your Pro licence is verified on your Mac and works offline. The only time the app uses the network is when you deliberately open a link in a document, or when a document you open references a remote image.
Purchases are handled by Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record. When you buy Markdownly Pro, Paddle collects the billing information needed to complete the sale, such as your name, email address, billing country, and payment details, and processes your payment. We never see or store your full payment card details. Paddle then shares limited order information with us, typically your name, email address, country, and order reference, so we can deliver your licence key and provide support. Paddle's handling of your data is governed by the Paddle Privacy Notice.
If you contact us for support, we process your email address and the contents of your message so we can help you and keep a record of the correspondence.
The marketing site does not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. During checkout, Paddle may set cookies that are necessary to process your order; these are covered by Paddle's own policies.
We use your data to deliver your licence and provide support (to perform our contract with you), and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations (to comply with the law). We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
We share data only with providers that help us run the product: Paddle (payment and order processing) and our email provider (to send your licence key and reply to support). These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers for payment.
We keep order and support records for as long as needed to provide support and to meet legal and tax obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Our providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) apply.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email us at the address below. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above will change when we do.
